K-5 Owls
Welcome to the new Owls classroom!! We have been having a great time
getting to know our new classroom and new friends! I am looking forward to
seeing all the parents at our Open House night on the first this month. I will
be giving out welcome packets containing a wealth of valuable information
about your child’s upcoming year in VPK.
The coming months are sure to be very busy and exciting! In the
classroom we will be discussing topics such as family, emotions and feelings,
friendship, and seasons. Your children will be engaged in stimulating learning
activities involving literacy, number and letter recognition, letter sounds, and
other beginning preschool skills. I will be completing assessments on all
children throughout the month and we will hold parent-teacher conferences
at school in October to discuss goals for your child to work toward in the
coming months.
Please remember to bring your child’s naptime supplies every Monday for
the week. This should include a fitted sheet and a child-size blanket. Also, all
toys should be kept at home until our “Show & Tell” on Fridays and then toys
may be brought in on that day only.
