Welcome back everyone! I hope that you all had a very relaxing summer and
that you’re ready for a fun and productive school year.
This year your child will learn crucial pre-literacy skills such as phonemic
awareness (understanding that spoken language is made up of sounds) and the
more encompassing phonological awareness (syllables, compound words,
letter/sound recognition, etc.) We will also study math concepts, as well as
science concepts. Books that we will read this month include Brown Bear,
Brown Bear, What Do You See? Where, Oh Where Is Kipper’s Bear? and Mouse
Paint.
Reminders:
Please do not bring toys from home; the only exception is Friday, sharing Day!
